Engine

　　HOWO 7 series heavy duty trucks are fitted with upgraded engines which manufactured by

China National Heavy duty truck group Co., Ltd. The engine output covers a range from 266 hp

to 420 hp.The engine has more reasonable power classification, wider coverage, stronger

power, lower fuel consumption,and its emission has completely reached Euro II standard.

Throughurther upgrading the emission can reach EuroIII level .Following are the main technical

feat ures:

　1Optimized air intake and exhaust system: The air intake and exhaust system improved by

　application of unique designing scheme. Air intake and exhaust are more fluent, with less

　resistance and higher efficiency duration of engine has been greatly increased, and fuel

　consumption reduced comprehensively.Especially, the structure of air intake system ensures

　that rain cannot enter into air intake pipe, the problem that water enters into engine, that has

　also troubled other manufacturers in China for many years has been solved at the most

　extent. The multi-staged air cleaner is adopted to make air cleaner.

　2High reliability: The reliability of engine has been increased greatly and the overhaul mile

　age of engine has been prolonged by using key parts and compon ents imported from ents

　imported from famous parts & components companies worldwide and through reinforcing

　and improving the important load-bearing positions of engine.

　3By fitting advanced fuel water separator and primary filter in fuel system, the quality of fuel

　supply to engine has been greatly improved.

　4High performance and low fuel consumption: The engine offers high torque at low speed,

　the maximum torque range is widened, torque reserve coefficient is enlarged, gradeability is

　increased. With low revolution speed and full combustion the economical fuel consumption

　range is wider. After optimized matching, the fuel consumption of the truck greatly has

　declined. Under testing condition the fuel consumption accounts for less than 30 liters per

　100 km, it reaches the best matching level in China.

　5Tipper engine: considering feature of tipper engine working often in low speed condition the

　performance of turbocharger has been improved by adopting worldwide advanced technol-

　ogies, the engine fuel consumption in normal working condition of tipper has declined and

　the operating costs for users have been really reduced.

Axle

　　HOWO driving axle is used for on-road trucks. At present, it is one of the biggest and strong

est single reduction axels in the world, and is the result by in-deep technical cooperation with

We stern experts. It has advantages such as reliable structure, high torque-bearing, long

noise,light weight, high efficiency, low fuel consumption, easy operation and maintenance. After

repeated high-load and high-strength test, all performances have reached the worldwide

advanced level.

　1Optimized hypoid bevel gear has higher strength, longer duration, wider engaging area,

　more stable running and lower noise. It can meet the requirement of wide range of gear

　transmission ratio which engine requires at low speed.

　2Differential axle gears and planetary gears are fining-forged, so they have higher strength a

　nd impact strength.

　3Axle housing with rectangular section is accurately formed in size and shape. It meets

　requirement of strength and increases rigidity.

　4Reinforced brake operates stably and constantly. The thickened brake lining has longer

　duration and better effect.

　5ABS and ASR are optional.

Frame

　　The frame of HOWO 7 series heavy duty truck is made of high strength alloy steel, it has

high strength, light weight and high load-carrying capacity. The frame structure is conformity

with international standards.

　　It is 1000 mm wide in front section and 850 mm in rear section. All holes are made by

numericalcontrolled punch machine, the accuracy of hole position is extremely high. The truck

has lower center of gravity and better stability so as to offer an optimal design condition for

refitting various special vehicles.

Transmission and clutch

　　HOWO 7 series heavy duty trucks are fitted with 9 speed, 8 speed and 6 speed transmiss-

ions manufactured by Shanxi Fast Co., Ltd and Qijiang Gear Transmissions have charac-

teristics of compact structure, high torque, high reliability, wide ratio range, heavy-load starting,

high gradeability and high cross-county capacity. It can make engine work in the range of

revolution under different vehicle speeds.

　　Cable gearshift mechanism features simple operation and clear speed position. The gear

shift lever is short and can be operated smoothly. The vibration of engine cannot be transmitted

to cab. Synchronized transmissions with air assisted are used for on-road trucks. These

missions have provenissions have proven simple and reliable after many roads tests.

Electrics and instrument

　　HOWO 7 series heavy truck's instrument panel is developed and designed jointly with

Ameri can design company, its modeling and function represent the latest tendency of intern-

ational heavy duty trucks. The leather-grain decoration at surface is made by a Japanese

specialized company, and the instrument is the same used for European heavy duty trucks. It is

deluxe and magnificent for comfortable visual sense. All switches are placed in the range

within the user's sight so that the driver can operate easily without distraction.

　　The 3rd generation CAN intelligent electric control panel is greatly improved and upgraded

by completely absorbing the experience of wiring control board of SINOTRUK's former two

generations of panels. After verification by all-round, multi-nodal points and overload

uninterrupted tests, the 3rd generation panel has reached international level of early 21 century,

and become the top intelligent main control system for the heavy duty trucks in China.

　　HOWO 7 series heavy duty truck's lighting combination is newly designed. The headlight is

beautiful, harmonious and forming a perfect intelligent and combination with the shape of cab.

Worldwide popular crystal lamp lens is adopted. It has high brightness and strong penetration

and very long duration (xenon lamp bulb as option). The headlight frame can be turned over,

which is a novel design for easy maintenance. The rar combined light is compact in structure,
